Solar Power for Industrial Water Treatment
Solar Technology for Industrial Water Treatment Plants and small-scale Desalination Plants is a proven safe process.
Solar Energy Technology
An equivalent MW Utility Solar Plant built with the Power Generated from the Solar Plant can be used during the daytime, this will reduce the Process and Costs as follows:
Existing Power Plant owners may be offered an Equity Partnership in a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) providing the new build of a Utility Solar Plant which will in turn sell the generated kWh to a Distribution Utility Company through the Fossil Fuel Power Station on a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
There can be many variations to this proposal and there is a need to undertake Site Surveys and Feasibility Studies such as:
Solar Mini Grids for Water Treatment
Rural Electrification Solution (RES) well documents and fall under the category of SHS / Nano / Pico / Mini / Micro Grids. This RES concept can be used in the Urban Area just as well as the Rural Areas.
For example, An Average Solar Irradiation for Africa 5.7 kWh / m2 / day with the equator regions of the continent has the highest irradiation potential. Nearly all large cities and urban areas in Africa are suited to the following strategy:
As the previous example, at these identified places a Grid is installed, and the Smart Meters measure the kWh placed on the Main Grid. The SPV the receives payment in the form of a PPA to so it can pay the Loan Repayments and Finance Costs for the Design, Supply, Installation of Solar Panels and Associated Equipment including Operation and Maintenance.
